DAY 1: ARRIVE IN MUMBAI
Namaste and Welcome to India! Arrive at Mumbai International airport. A VIP Meet and Greet service is arranged for you. A representative will receive you across the jetway with a paging sign indicating your name and take you through immigration, baggage collection and customs. A Travel Scope representative will assist you with a transfer to your hotel. Check-in and relax in the comforts of your hotel. We will have booked your hotel from the previous night to ensure that your room is ready for immediate occupancy.
DAY 2: DISCOVER MUMBAI
Mumbai, a vibrant melting pot of cultures and dreams, offers a captivating blend of old and new. Explore iconic landmarks like the Gateway of India and the bustling Dhobi Ghats, witness the efficient "dabbawallas" in action, and delve into the heart of the city's fishing heritage at Worli Village, complete with its historic fort. Alternatively, discover the unique and thriving communities of Dharavi, a testament to resilience and community spirit. This dynamic city promises an unforgettable glimpse into India's rich tapestry of life.
DAY 3: DISCOVER MUMBAI
Experience the true essence of Mumbai with a "Mumbai by Dawn" tour, witnessing the city's early morning energy and the industrious spirit of its people. Return for breakfast and leisure before delving into the vibrant Spice Market, where you can customize your own masala mix. Later, explore the Bhau Daji Lad Museum, showcasing Mumbai's history and heritage. Alternatively, discover Mumbai's rich Jewish heritage, visiting historic synagogues and learning about the community's contributions. Conclude your day with an optional home-cooked dinner with a local family.
DAY 4: FLY TO TRICHY
Embark on a journey to Trichy, a city steeped in history and spirituality. After a morning flight via Chennai, settle into your hotel before exploring the magnificent Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, a vast and revered Vaishnavite complex. As the sun sets, ascend to the Rock Fort Temple, a 3.8-billion-year-old rock formation housing ancient shrines and offering panoramic city views. Enjoy a comfortable stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Tiruchirappalli, with modern amenities and convenient access to local attractions.
DAY 5: IN TRICHY
Experience a meaningful day in Trichy with a visit to Cornerstone in Manapparai. Engage in a roundtable discussion with the Cornerstone/Miracle team to learn about their impactful work. After a shared lunch, participate in small group visits to local families where children have been reunited through our work. Return to Cornerstone for tea and a final meeting before driving back to Trichy for an overnight stay at the Courtyard by Marriott.
DAY 6: TANJORE DAY TRIP
Embark on a cultural exploration from Trichy to Tanjore, a hub of Tamil Nadu's artistic heritage. Discover the 11th-century Brihadeeswarar Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site showcasing Chola architecture and the origins of Bharatnatyam dance. After lunch, journey to Manapparai for an immersive rural life tour with Cornerstone, experiencing traditional agriculture, fishing, and local customs. Conclude your day with a return to Trichy and an overnight stay at the Courtyard by Marriott.
DAY 7: IN TRICHY
Delve deeper into community impact by learning more about Miracle Foundation’s family strengthening and prevention work. At Cornerstone, you will experience an interactive session showcasing community efforts to safeguard children. Following lunch, explore a local village and engage with the children and families there. The day culminates in a vibrant community feast, featuring shared meals and traditional dancing, providing an authentic cultural experience. Return to Trichy for an overnight stay at the Courtyard by Marriott.
DAY 8: MUMBAI DEPARTURE
